OnlyShots privacy
Last updated October 22, 2026 · applies to the OnlyShots apps for iPhone, iPad, Android and the desktop, and the web editor.
OnlyShots collects no personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your videos, shots and settings stay on your device, and nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
What the app uses, and why
- Camera and microphone: to film your espresso shot with its sound. The video is saved on your device; you can mute the sound in the editor.
- Local network: to read the shot from your own espresso machine (for example a Gaggiuino or GaggiMate) on your home Wi‑Fi. The app talks only to the machine you pick.
- Internet: only when you fetch a shot from visualizer.coffee: the app sends the share code or link you typed and gets that shot back. Nothing of yours is uploaded.
- Bluetooth: to read weight from your own Bluetooth scale.
- Photos: to save the finished video to your library when you ask it to, and to open a video you pick. The app cannot see the rest of your library.
What is stored
Your recordings, the shot data that goes with them and your settings are kept in the app's storage on your device. The web editor keeps everything in the browser tab and forgets it when the tab closes. Deleting the app, or a video in it, deletes that data. We have no copy.
Sharing
Nothing is shared unless you share it yourself, for example by exporting a video to Photos or sending it with the share sheet. What happens after that is up to the app you send it to.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this ever changes, this page will say so before the app does anything new with your data.
